Marcos Vargas – TCU student at Shriver Job Corps
In such trying times that all health care facilities are facing, we have our very own Marcos Vargas stepping to the plate filling in many hours on the job. Marcos is an AT transfer from the Cassadaga Job Corps in New York earning his CNA certification first then transferring to Shriver for our advanced trade of Transportation Communication Union in June of 2019. His ambition includes falling back on his first trade for employment while his education continues in this second trade. On the 16th of March all Shriver students were sent home which was concerning for Marcos and the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. As much as he wanted to stay in the area to work, the staff at the facility wanted and needed him. After many hours of scrambling for answers, arrangements were made for this opportunity and Marcos has worked just about everyday since. Special comments from the staff include “we need 30 Marcos’!!”
