On June 7, 2011 nine (9) students from the Shreveport Job Corps Center assisted the Shreve Memorial Atkins Branch Library with their Summer Reading Program Kick-Off.  The students assisted and interacted with the children as they read stories to them, played games with them, and prepared and served refreshments.  This was an exciting time for the children and the students as they were able to help and give their service to the community.
