Representatives from National Oilwell Varco (NOV)  Tuboscope Division (Houston, Texas) visited Shreveport Job Corps Center to establish a partnership to train entry-level welders for their production company located in Arcadia, LA.  Students in Welding Career Technical Training participated in the presentation which included a detailed  overview of the company, employee benefits and employment requirements.  The activity ended with demonstrations  of a transportable machine used by welders to repair oil pipes on locations nationwide.
