On June 9, 2011, Student Latashia Hegger, a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Shreveport Job Corps Center had the opportunity to shadow with State House of Representative District 4 Patrick C. Williams’ Legislative Assistant Simone Green for the day.  Student Hegger learned about the role of the state representative, how the office manages the calls, concerns received from the constituents  and issues Representative Williams is addressing  at the state legislature.   Student Hegger was excited and impressed with having been able to take part in this memorable day in Job Corps history.  Student Hegger stated. “Success is in the hands of the beholder,  without commitment, dedication and effort succeeding is impossible”.
