Shreveport Job Corps Center Jaguars hit the street corners for the Northwest Louisiana Sickle Cell Foundation Fundraiser. Students were enthusiastic to “Shake A Can” to collect for the annual area event. Donations assist in the research for treatments for Sickle Cell Anemia disease, a genetic blood disorder that effects the oxygen supply throughout the body. Over eighty thousand Americans suffer from the disease and two million carry the gene. The activity was broadcasted live Saturday, September 25th, at local radio station KVMA.
