Work-Based Learning students participated in the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center’s Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on April 18, 2012.  The theme, Celebrating People in Action, was dedicated to 539 volunteers who unselfishly served 55,784 hours in 2011.  One celebrated volunteer was Shreveport Job Corps Culinary Arts student, Arsha’Me Lyons, who served over 106 volunteer hours in the Nutrition and Food Service Department at the medical center.  He was awarded a 100-Hour pin for his dedication and service.
