On May 24, 2011 the BCL and SGA Officer Travis Robinson paid a second visit to Congressman Rodney Alexander’s Office in Monroe, Louisiana. Student Robinson had an opportunity to speak with the Staff Assistant, Office Manager and other office staff during the visit. Student Robinson discussed his plans for the future, that he plans to return home to the Bastrop/Monroe area after he completes his training at Shreveport Job Corps Center and persue his goal of attending college. Ms. Duncan, Staff Assistant encouraged him to complete the program and continue on to accomplish his goals. During the visit, the BCL shared with Ms. Duncan that they (the Center) would appreciate the opportunity to shadow in the Congressman’s office at any time convenient to them. Ms. Duncan stated that she woul have to check with the Congressman and let us know. We were extended an invitation to visit the office anytime without an appointment. The BCL and student Robinson thanked everyone for the warm welcome that they received.
