FREMONT, Calif.
On Tuesday, San Jose Job Corps’ Material Handling & Distribution trade students got to tour the Tesla Motors factory in Fremont to see how classroom academics and skills are applied in the real world.
Tesla opened its doors to demonstrate assembly & distributing employment opportunities. But more importantly Tesla tour guides showed the students, that they too can succeed in this field.
“A lot of times students don’t realize that they can do these jobs,” Adam Slusser, Tesla Tour Program Manager
“If we can inspire 1 of these students to have the same level of impact that people can have in the tech business, the I think we have done our job,” Adam said.
Job Corps students left excited about applying for current full time positions with Tesla.
