San Jose Job Corps’ Annual Service To Youth Awards Luncheon

San Jose Job Corps’ Community Advisory Board / Industry Council honors Employer Partner of the year Manpower and ten local individuals who mentor and work with youth within our community on Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Bella Mia Restaurant in Downtown San Jose.

Manpower Regional Director’s Pricilla Axcueta and Thereza Chattmon were thrilled to learn of the partnership their staff have developed with Job Corps in fulfilling Manpower’s needs and placing Job Corps graduates into viable employment.  “We will continue to look for ways to enhance and expand our efforts ensuring Manpower is able to fill requisitions with Job Corps graduates within the 12 counties that the San Jose Center serves.

 Center Director, Leslie Gilroy shared her gratitude to employer partners, community based partners and local workforce development professionals who assist our youth with not only employment opportunities but resources that assist them in every aspect of their personal and professional development.  “We could not be successful without the efforts of everyone in the room.”
