Faces of Job Corps – Anna

Anna Mora

At age nineteen, Anna had already experienced what most won’t in a lifetime. As the daughter of immigrants and a new mother herself, Anna’s was thrown into a life of uncertainty and disadvantage. Before coming to Job Corps she was involved in gangs, committing crime, and running away from home. Knowing that she could not support her son this way, she began to look into ways to complete her education. It was after hearing of Job Corps through a friend that she decided to enroll in a program where she could pursue her education and Career Technical Training.

  • In only three short months obtained a GED and a
  • certificate in Customer Service
  • Today, Anna is working full-time to provide for her family while taking classes at a local community college.

In her own words…..

“The only way to success and happiness is through hard work and determination.”
