SJCC hosted Meadowview/ South Sacramento Community Voter Forum on Center. This event gave the community a chance to meet the candidates for City Council for District 8 Council Member Bonnie Pannell and person in the race against her former NAACP President Betty Williams. Also District 6 race between  City Council Member Kevin McCarty and Michael Netto. There was discussion between candidates on why voters should put them in office. The event was sponsored by African American Leadership Coalition (AALC) and The North Sacramento Voter Education Project. This event took place on May 19, 2012 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
