Sacramento Job Corps hosted the Annual Pacific Islander’s Diversity celebration. The event was organized by the SJCC Pacific Islander Club as well as center staff of Pacific Island background. There were students from all backgrounds participating in the event and performances were done by some community partners. Although the purpose of the event is to celebrate its cultures, it is meant to educate Job Corps students about Pacific Island heritage and customs for the numerous Pacific Island nations. This event took place on July 31, 2012.
