SIATech High School and the Sacramento Job Corps Center honored the 47-member strong Class of 2012 during the summer commencement ceremonies June 19. The event was held at the Sam Pannell Meadowview Community Center in Sacramento. Miles Miniaci, SIATech literacy teacher, gave the welcome address. Class speaker was Karla Montepeque, who noted that she and her fellow graduations succeeded by staying focused and moving forward with their lives. Of the 47 graduates, 32 earned high school diplomas, 15 obtained their GEDs, and 26 were recognized as Triple Crown Graduates with Distinction, noting their outstanding academic work.
