Center career fair leads to employment for 6 students
Six Sacramento Job Corps Center students landed jobs as a result of the center’s annual Career Fair, held April 24 at the center’s recreation center. The event’s theme was “Make the Connection.” The fair, held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., gave students an opportunity to meet with area employers, build their professional network, and apply for open positions. Students who landed jobs as a result of the contacts they made at the Career Fair are: Sheena Hopkins and Luke Blair from Security Investigation, hired by Securitas; Michael Hampton, Jonathan Harrell and Andy Fullmer from Carpentry, hired by JS Contracting Services; and Michael Rice from Heavy Equipment Operators, also hired by JS Contracting Services.
