Make a difference day 2010 occured on Friday for 13 of the students at the Roswell Job Corps Center.  Participating in a pilot mentor program with Sunset Elementary the Roswell Job Corps Center students spent the day in the classrooms mentoring and tutoring students.  The event was so successful that the teachers asked when the students could come back for another day.  After talking with Principal Trujillo and getting permission from the school district, Roswell Job Corps Center and Sunset Elementary will be partners.  Up to 20 Job Corps students will be assisting the classes prepare for their Christmas Pagent on December the 10th, and every month after that one day will be a special project for the Job Corps students and Sunset students.  Both institutions are excited about what we can build together, and the students from Job Corps can’t wait to be back in elementary school.
