In June, Representative Steve Pearce was at the Roswell Job Corps Center for a tour and to meet with the students.  He was very impressed with the integration the center has taken for energy savings through solar lighting and photo voltaic generation, and solar water heating.  His district representative was instructed to get Roswell Job Corps Center and a Native American housing project together to share information.  On September 16, 2011 that exchange started to take place.  Gloria Salas, who oversees Chaves, Lincoln, and Otero Counties for the Congressman was given the information, as well as insight to its utilization in a home environment.  There is definite excitement about the possibilities that this technology holds for the new building development, especially for the low income group what would be able to see greatly reduced utility bills.
