Red Rock Job Corps Center has been using virtual dorms this summer to keep student engaged with their dorm staff and peers. Cliff Miller, social development director, says students have been active within the virtual dorms participating in movie nights, contests and virtual meets with each other. He adds recreation staff have posted exercise challenges and workouts within the Google Meet virtual dorms, which have been a hit with students. The Center’s Student Government Association advisor, Leah Mulholland also conducted a virtual election of SGA executive board members and the winners were inaugurated on July 24 virtually by the Center’s US Army recruiter, SSgt.
