Students and staff at Red Rock Job Corps Center recently partnered with Rickett’s Glen State Park personnel to conduct a spring clean-up at the facility, located next door. During the cleanup, students worked in a park shale pit, and completed litter cleanups on park trails and campsites. Also, students donned safety vests and braved the elements to complete roadway cleanups on park property boundaries along Routes 487 and 118. Fortunately, the rain held off pretty much until the end of the work bee. Park Manager Terry Daltroff said he was pleased with the event, and discussion is underway about additional summer/fall work bees at the park.
