Red Rock Job Corps Center students chose once again voted virtually for their Student Government Association executive officers. Students vote through their Google Classroom platforms and choose students who’ve submitted applications to the SGA advisor, Leah Mullholland. Mullholand then surveys the applicants to make sure they are qualified and definitely wish to be on the ballots. The winning students take their oaths of office administered by the Center’s US Army recruiter, SFC Chance Hendrix during a Google meet WEBEX so other staff are able to view. Most recently, the SGA students not only meet bi-weekly with Center Director Gerry McGroarty, but also virtually with the SGA committees which are chaired by department managers and other staff. This fall’s board includes: l; Secretary, Joana Sala, Human Service Worker advanced training; Treasurer, Jariel Hernandez Figueroa, Auto Technology; Chief Justice, Isaiah Vega, Auto Collision Repair; and Sergeant-at-Arms, Lujan Carmona Ruiz, Office Administration.
