Thirty four community members of Red Rock JCC’s Community Relations Committee were pleased to meet for the first time in 2016 on April 14, 2016. Members listened to an update on the Center including the contract process, new safety and security measure implementation, upcoming zero tolerance requirement changes, a recent Congressional visit by US Rep. Tom Marino and his wife, Edie, and the recent implementation of the Human Service Worker Advanced Training program. Additionally, members watched the Center’s Y2Y “No More” antiviolence video, and a power point recognizing recent graduates who’ve enlisted in the military within the last several months. Also introduced, was first-time guest, Patti Cross, the new district superintendent for the Sullivan County School District, new Center Food Service Manager, Rashad Payne, and new Hotel and Hospitality instructor, Jason Naugle, whose students set up, served and bused tables after the meal.
