Red Rock Job Corps Center would like to thank Brian O’Keefe and his crew at Mooretown Mill in Sweet
Valley for providing an excellent work-based learning experience to recent Center graduate, Dominic Perez.
Dominic graduated from the plumbing vocation on November 28 with knowledge that will help him obtain
gainful employment. However, while working at Mooretown Mill, Dominic not only learned much about
the construction and sawmill trades, he earned a great wage and made some friends for life.
While at Mooretown Mill, Dominic traveled with the work crew and assisted with many construction projects
both on and off-site.“I will never forget my time spent at Mooretown. I learned so much during the five months I was there, and everyone treated me so well. After graduation, Center Director Kelly King, Deputy Center Director Tamer Koheil, Business Community Liaison Jackie Johnson and Dominic traveled to Mooretown Mill to personally thank Brian and his crew. While there, Brian complimented Dominic on his work ethic, cooperation and quick learning skills. According to Miss King, Brian was instrumental in Dominic’s success at Red Rock helping him grow not
only professionally but also personally.
