Isaac Guy works with Collision Repair student Charles Burke on Tuesday, April 5 while visiting the Center.
Red Rock Auto Collision Repair graduate, Isaac Guy of Reading, PA returned to Center on Tuesday, this time as the teacher. A resident of Reading, PA, Isaac was a driven and high-performing student, says Harry Kocylowski, one of Isaac’s Collision Repair instructors. He worked hard, performed community service and was eager to get into the workforce. Before graduating from the program in January 2015, Isaac was hired by Safelite to be trained as a windshield replacement technician. He went through the application gamut—interview, drug testing, and then, eight weeks of paid training and now a year on the job under his belt. Isaac arrived in a sporty Acura, and brought tools of his trade, where he demonstrated the windshield adhesive process, instructing numerous interested students on the adhesive gun… which looked much easier when he did it. However, what may have impacted students more, was Isaac’s confidence, well-spoken words, and conversations about employability and encouragement, letting them know that they, too, can be successful… if THEY WANT TO BE. Isaac told the students that he enjoys his job, and noted that he has a lot of responsibility such as manning a company van, money handling and performing customer service skills. Isaac reminded students that they must work hard and stay focused while at Red Rock so that they can be prepared to enter the job market and obtain a good job.
