HBI Electrical students won the month-long academic bowl held at Red Rock. Students, Tymir Cheatwood, Jordan Pena and Guillermo Quintero added enough points to the month-long competition standing total to bring Electrical ahead to win the finals on Friday, March 25. The students won a pizza party for their Electrical shop. The final standings are as follows: first, Electrical, 30,600; second, Auto Collision Repair, 29,800; third, Auto Technology, 28,400; fourth, Carpentry, 25,600; fifth, Plumbing, 25,500; sixth, Office Administration, 24,700; seventh, Hotel/Hospitality/Human Service Worker AT, 21,100. The range of questions throughout the month included both academic and Job Corps topics.
