The Safety/Security Cadet Program at Burdick Job Corps was established to enhance the Occupational Safety and Health Program on Center by granting cadets the opportunity to assist the Safety Security & Fire Prevention Department in carrying out certain official duties.  The cadets assist with Safety Security & Fire Prevention Department functions including Environmental Health & Safety Inspections and emergency drills.  Cadet’s function under the supervision of departmental staff, and participation in the program enhances the cadet’s safety and leadership skills while advancing their personal and professional growth.  The program has been a vital asset in the overall Center safety and security process.
