The Medical Office Support trade at Quentin Burdick Job Corps had their 100th consecutive student pass a National Healthcareer Association certification exam in January. Since the start of offering NHA certifications exams in April of 2009, 100% of Burdick’s MOS students have passed the exams. Aimee Pinkney was the very proud 100th student to earn her certification. She earned her CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) certification.
Jen Aaseth, MOS Instructor works one on one with the students as they are studying for the exams to ensure that each and every student passes. The students also create flashcards for themselves and have other students quiz them until they have all of the material down.
NHA was established in 1989, and is now the nation’s largest healthcare certification provider and is recognized as a leader in the field. Candidates who earn NHA certification have demonstrated a level of knowledge to competently practice in their healthcare profession.
