Steve Murphy, Manager of Seven’s Restaurant, says his seven year long Work Based Learning Partnership with Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps has been a successful one. Steve says he has always had WBL students that were prompt, had great attitudes, good workers and always a willingness to learn new things.

Steve says working with Burdick is a two-fold thing.  The students benefit from the experience and his training staff perform job duties better from training Burdick students.

Currently, Burdick student employee, Charlie Gorseth, is working at Seven’s Restaurant. Steve says he has worked out really well. Charlie has a great willingness to learn and has a great attitude. He wants to how and why we do things, says Steve.

Charlie Gorseth completed Culinary Arts and obtained his GED at Burdick Job Corps.
