Carol Agard was recently interviewed by Mike Volpe from the Office of Public Affairs for Job Corps in Washington, DC regarding her training and current job. Carol is a Medical Office Support student at Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps. She has completed training in Medical Administration and the new Electronic Health Record pilot program. She passed the exams to earn certifications as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant and a Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist. Carol then went on to do an internship at a local hospital business office (Trinity Business Services). She did a superb job during her internship and was hired on full-time as a Reimbursement Specialist. She enjoys her position there, as well as the challenge of learning new things each day. Carol plans to save money and transition to living on her own and supporting herself with her new job.
