Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center Student Government Association (SGA) and staff participated in the North Dakota State Fair Parade held on July 21^st.  A float, reminiscent of the Huckleberry Finn raft, built by Carpentry and Facilities Maintenance students.  From the float, students dangled fishing poles over the side of the raft with their hooks displaying trades and services available at Burdick Job Corps Center.  Our theme this year was “Fishing for a Career? – Let Burdick Job Corps Center Be Your Lifesaver!”  Minnow buckets were used for passing out lifesavers and fish stickers to spectators.  Burdick Pride was definitely on display.
