Potomac Job Corps Center continue to influence the harts and minds of students every day. Although students are still practicing distance learning at home the center is looking forward to pivoting community relationships. Washington, D.C. is a diverse city with Potomac Job Corps in the center of it all. PJCC began outlining a plan of action to make an impact in our community despite the pandemic. In doing so, the BCL took the liberty to connect with the office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton to build communication but also support for Job Corps. The most important topic from the discussion with her staff members is the continued support for Job Corps.
Our mission is to attract young adults, teach them relevant skills needed to become employable and independent, and help prepare them for success in life by securing meaningful jobs or opportunities for further education. To continue keeping our elected leaders or public officials aware of job corps success communication is the key. Moving forward into the future the BCL will continue to connect with public officials to continue impacting all DC residents and Job Corps students. Look forward to additional details coming soon.
