Potomac Job Corps Center would like to highlight another graduate. Tristan Romero graduated in 2020. He was a proud participant of the Office Administration training at Potomac. While training at Potomac Tristian also received certifications in Electronic Health Worker Certification and OPAC. Before coming to Potomac Job Corps Center he was working as a fraud prevention analyst. He researched purchases made by customers. What led him to the program was extra training and office and administration training. Also, training and getting certifications. He also participated in weight training, and helping the TABE Instructor sometimes. He is currently employed with The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. He returned to the workforce with additional skill to work between his company and customers taking orders from people and inspecting accounts and merchandise. He mentioned that Job Corps prepared him with training and certifications.
5) How has their life post-Job Corps changed or improved? (1-2 sentences) His life has changed post job corps with great job opportunities and certifications. His message to future graduates is “Have a plan with what you want to do before your experience is over. Also, focus on what you need to do more often than not, you will get through it.”
