Potomac would like to highlight graduate D. Anderson. Before coming to Potomac the graduate graduated from high school and enrolled into college to figure his life out. What led him to Potomac was his college experience. He knew that college was maybe not for him at the moment so he left and enrolled into Potomac Job Corps to gather his life.
While at Potomac the graduate studied Building Construction Technology. Also, as a student Deandre engaged in showing leadership by being the Recreation Center Secretary and Dormitory Leader.
The graduate is currently employed with Miller Pipeline. He mentioned getting paid weekly. He’s put himself into a position to continue learning while working full-time by enrolling himself into a home inspection class. He plans to have his own business one day.
Job Corps prepared him to work with everyone and understand people. Also, understanding that confrontation will happen at different moments of employment but understanding why is most important to him.
His life post Job Corps has improved. Job Corps helped him improve himself. His life has been a blessing. Job Corps really gave him the time to adjust his life but also become a father to take care of his family.
Deandre says “think about what you want to do with yourself because it’s not easy”
