Potomac Cement Trade visit Plasterers’ & Cement Masons Local 891 AFL-CIO
Cement Masonry Instructor, Joe Hart, and nine masonry students from Potomac JCC visited the Plastering and Cement Masonry Apprenticeship Program, in Washington DC. During the visit, students met Apprentice Director for Local 891 Rodney Carson, Cement Instructor Rosella Scott and other journeyman. The Potomac JCC has had a strong partnership with Local 891 Plastering and Cement Mason’s Apprenticeship Program for the past 48 years. In fact, Instructor Hart is a product of both Potomac JCC and the apprenticeship program. He enrolled in the Cement Masonry program at Potomac JCC in 2000 and his instructor was Rosella Scott, who now works with the apprenticeship program.
Students who participated in the trip were Randy Dicken, Isaiah Dillard, De’quan Greene, Ty’byron Jackson, Mohamed Kamara, Kyran Tongue, Enique Vick, Alphonse Walker III and Kavon Wolfe.
