Potomac Job Corps Center is always happy to highlight alumni or former students that have become trailblazers. This week former graduate and now alumni Leanna Mosley sat for a few minutes with the Business Community Liaison to discuss her journey during and after Potomac Job Corps Center. Leanna was a former class of 2019 graduate training in Transportation Communication International Union. She explained her decision to attend Job Corps came from a friend at home. Being a student on center wasn’t enough so she got involved in singing for a commencement ceremony at Potomac, participated in the center talent show, and also participated in the center-wide Youth 2 Youth rally to prevent violence. Currently is working a full-time job that she is excited to have as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The former graduate had so much Potomac sprit that she also works on center as an RA. She says “I’m a witness and advocate of the job corps program. It takes a strong person to inspire and push through any obstacle.”
