Hometown: Washington, DC
“I have a passion for Job Corps, the program saved my life and brought me to be the person I am now.”
Naukeisha Brown, a former Potomac JCC student, is currently employed at Potomac JCC. Through her 14 years working at the Center, she has served as the Human Resources representative, the Data Control Clerk, of the vocations trades, Secretary to Potomac JCC’s Deputy Center Director, Kathy Aumann.
According to Ms. Brown, the Potomac JCC program provided her with life skills and structure which has made her “a better mom, employee, and friend.
She often shares her favorite quote (from her Potomac JCC mentor, Mr. Bruce Holmes) with new students entering the Job Corps program, “What you do now, you will do later; Job Corps is practice for the real world, so practice good habits.”
