Potomac Job Corps Center has a strong relationship and commitment to all graduates and alumni. This week Potomac Job Corps Center would like to highlight Kiara Orvin. She focused her attention to completing Job Corps and accomplishing her goal to enter the workforce. Kiara Orvin was a Transportation Communication Union student. Before arriving to Potomac Kiara mentioned “she lived at home but wanted to pursue her dream to become a better person. ” She started her Job Corps experience at another center. Soon after completing her Cement trade experience she focused on advanced training at Potomac. She received the following certifications in Job Corps OSHA 10, OPEK, Keyboarding, Mass Transit, and Transportation 1 and 2. Leaving the center in Kiara words “it was time to graduate and move on. ” Her words of encouragement for future graduates are “never give up, no matter how hard it gets, keep grinding until you get it done. “
