In recognition of Veteran’s Day, over 50 students at the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center wrote thank you letters to the residents of the Southwestern Veterans Association. The recreation department also got involved, holding an art project to make homemade wreathes. A group of student visited the residents, passing out the letters and wreathes while meeting the residents and hearing their amazing stories. This partnership allows us to show our appreciation for these brave men and women. With the holiday season approaching, we also had our security students assist with decorating their facility for the holiday season. Battling the cold and armed with hot chocolate and lights, students decorated the exterior trees to brighten their landscaping. We are honored to be able to give back to our veterans.
