Beads and ribbons and wire make beautiful bracelets, especially when they signify the Colors of Hope for cancer. Students on the advisory board of the Women’s Program at the Pittsburgh Job Corps spent several nights making bracelets and talking about cancer victims and survivors. They offered the bracelets to students and staff for a $2 donation. They raised over $150 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. Students Shantee’ R., Bridget R., Cerita M., Tiara L., and Meghan P. worked on this service project under the direction of Rosalind McLendon, women’s program coordinator at PJCC.
