Megann joined Pittsburgh Job Corps because she wanted to attend college and did not have the finances
She learned about Job Corps from her sister who is in the army.
Advice: “ the graphic design program takes a lot of time so be patient. The internship helps to pay my phone bill. When I go home all my friends are still not educated nor are they doing anything about that; I would be just like them if I hadn’t come to Job Corps.”
Awards: Megann received the MVP 2011-2012 award from the Office of Student Life at CCAC and the 5 Star Student in Publications 2011-2012 award.
For the future Megann wants to attend VCU (VA Commonwealth University) and work for a magazine where she can combine her graphic design talent with her photography.
Job Corps has helped her with her goals because it paid for all her classes and art supplies, and started her on the post high school education pathway.
