The Annual IUOE (International Union of Operating Engineers) Health and Safety Conference was held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Skip Cashdollar, operating engineer and instructor at PJCC,  accepted the Department of Labor “Silver” award on Joe Dixon’s behalf for 2 years in a row of a grade A program for the Pittsburgh Heavy Equipment Operator program.  Joe Dixon, operating engineer and PJCC instructor,  received a hand carved box along with a miniature piece of equipment.

Skip also received a piece of equipment and awards for 100 percent completion rates, and above average apprenticeship placements.   Pittsburgh Job Corps Center was acknowledged for the highest overall apprenticeship placements over the past 4 years.
