At Pittsburgh Job Corps for the month of November, Alpha Jalloh won the Center Director’s Award. Alpha is an ELL student who came to the United States from Gambia in 2015. During his time at PJCC, he has served as an active member of Y2Y, Peer Court, and the CSIO Incentive Committee. Alpha acts as a peer mentor to other ELL students and is always going to extra mile to help around center. He works hard in all of his classes and is always setting the example for his peers. His enthusiasm for his trade in infectious and he is often serving as the foreman in his trade, helping teach other students the skills they need to be successful. He recently working with a local contractor to learn how to install flooring around center and then used his knowledge to teach other trainees. Together, they completed multiple projects around center! Congratulations Alpha!
