April is #National Internship Awareness Month and Pinellas County Job Corps sends a big THANK YOU to #Senator Marco Rubio’s Office for hosting two student leaders in the Health Care Trades on a one-day internship. 18-year-old Allisia and 21-year-old Ahiaha were delighted at the opportunity to spend a day in the shoes of a Legislative Aide visiting a number of employer sites in the Tampa Bay area. The day was organized by Senator Rubio’s Regional Director of the Gulf Coast Region, Savannah Sipsy. Together the group toured BayCare Urgent Care and St. Anthony’s Hospital in the morning, with visits to the St. Petersburg Police Department to meet Police Chief Holloway and to the Maritime and Defense Technology Hub. Internships are an excellent way to gain real-world professional experience through opportunities like this.
Thanks to Senator Rubio’s Office from Pinellas County Job Corps
