Pinellas County Job Corps Students Volunteer for Holiday Village

Each month our Pinellas County Job Corps students give their time to help with parking at the monthly art walk for the Warehouse Arts District located just across the street from our campus. But for this holiday season, WADA artists and members of Mt. Zion church teamed to create a magical village at Mt. Zion—connecting the two vibrant communities with trolley rides between locations.

Our student volunteers helped with parking and then got to enjoy the artist-designed village and lighting of the first community tree. City of St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch and State Senator Daryl Rouson spoke about how this is just the beginning of what will become an even bigger event that represents change, growth and inclusivity. Eleven of our students volunteered and had a wonderful time.
