At Pinellas County Job Corps, we are student-focused. That’s why student input to our many committees is so vital. These committees meet monthly, from Food Service to Maintenance, Wellness, Safety, Social Development, Education & Training and Recreation.
“I think having these committees is great,” said Finance & Administration Director Angelia Richardson. “One—we get to hear the students point of view and two, we get to show them we’re listening.”
Richardson says, in some cases we are able to act immediately, giving our new Taco Tuesdays as an example. Other requests can take longer, such as a asking for decorative lights. In both of these cases, we are taking action to give students what they truly want.
