Pinellas County Job Corps Carpentry Program Spotlighted in Feature Report

Pinellas County Job Corps has gained heart-warming media attention for a special project their Carpentry students did to help a Tampa Bay foster care facility. Under supervision by their instructor and the local Carpentry Union, the students rebuilt a pedestrian bridge that serves as a walkway between the Children’s Home Network dorms and a neighboring elementary school.

Spectrum Bay News 9 reporter Fallon Silcox chose to tell the story through the eyes of one student—Kay Sheehy. Here is the story:

The students  were able to be paid thanks to funding provided by CareerSource Pinellas.
