Students in the Youth2Youth Group at Pinellas County Job Corps took time to hand-make signs warning about the dangers of human trafficking. Then staff helped the students go on a Peace Walk in St. Petersburg, chanting “Stop Human Trafficking” and “Pinellas County Job Corps.” Several cars honked their horns to show their approval.
It’s all part of an awareness campaign for Human Trafficking Prevention month. Students also carried signs by the Department of Homeland Security with a phone number to call. More than 60 students signed up to participate.
