Pinellas County Job Corps students participated in the Mentor a Job Corps Student Day. Our students were able to shadow the following elected officials: Shahra Anderson, Senator Bill Nelson’s office; Nikki Gaskin-Capehart, Congresswoman Castor’s office; Davide Macon, Congressman Young’s office; Mayor of St. Petersburg, Bill Foster; Darryl Rouson, Florida House of Representative; and City Councilman, Wengay Newton.

The students ended their day in front of the City of St. Petersburg City Council meeting and were honored by their mentors for the day. It was a great experience for all of our students!
