The owner of Fidelis Repairs in Orlando, Florida has big plans for company growth and he wants Pinellas County Job Corps students to become part of his workforce. Owner Cesar Machado came to campus today to speak with all of our hard trades: Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical and Facility Maintenance.
He brought his financial advisor with him, who is helping him to open home plumbing and maintenance service shops all across the state. Machado is a Job Corps graduate with a passion for all that the program taught him. Now he wants to give back by giving Job Corps students who are preparing to embark on their careers a solid job opportunity. The pay for these jobs is expected to be $55,000 per year.
Fidelis Repairs just opened a business in Sarasota and will also open another shop in Pasco County this week. After that, there are plans for Port St. Lucie, Jacksonville and the Panhandle.
Machado’s advice to students. “Listen to your teachers. Find a good mentor and do what’s right.”
