On Saturday, October 22, 2011, volunteers from the Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center joined an estimated 3 million people participating in Make A Difference Day activities. This year, 12 students and one staff member volunteered their time to work with personnel from the Pine Knot Primary School in preparing food for their annual Red Maple Festival. This event attracted a multitude of citizens and helped bring the students closer to the local community.
