On March 7, 2019, the Career Transition Services Department (CTS) hosted its monthly Mock Interviews. They were assisted by the Staff of CVS Pharmacy. In all, 65 students went through the interview process. At the finale of the interviews, feedback was provided by the CVS personnel.

On April 4, 2019, over 70 students participated in more mock interviews. Sirena Popoca interviewed with the Year-Up program. “There was definitely a lot of information. It was very helpful.” She recommends students bring a notebook and pen to mock interviews and ask a lot of questions.

Bella Garcia Martinez also interviewed with Year-Up. She was told to smile more, something she plans to practice before a real job interview.

Crystal Salazar said she was asked a lot of tough questions. “Some of them I didn’t know how to answer such as ‘tell me about yourself.’

John Perry is an OA student. He also thinks some of the questions were tough such as, “Name a time you overcame a barrier.” He said the key is to focus.
