Valley Christian Community Center is located in one of the most economically depressed sections of Phoenix, AZ.  In spite of the socioeconomic challenges that the center’s residents battle daily, it is funded entirely by the residents in the neighborhood, and by public contributions.  Many of the residents in the area have long suffered due to the state of the economy and lack of employment opportunities.  On Monday, December 20, 2010, the Phoenix Job Corps Center provided turkeys and an assortment of canned goods to provide a full holiday meal for 15 families in need.  The community center facilitated the food donation in conjunction with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc so that families would be able enjoy their holiday season.  The efforts of all who contributed to this event provided dinners for over 100 families.
